Welcome to the Burnside Lawn Bowling Club.
We are open for play and all regularly scheduled draws and coaching clinics are now underway.

Registration and Membership:
Information on membership dues for 2026 can be found in the Membership Page.
For current members, your membership dues must be paid before the end of May.
If you're are interested in joining us, please use the form on the Contact page of this website. We will get back to you with opportunities to visit Burnside LBC and try this wonderful sport.
Note: The first 3 visits to our club are free, and lessons are available for a $20 fee that will be applied to your membership dues should you join our club - come try Lawn Bowling!

2026 Bowls South Island Tournaments:

August Special Events:
- Men's and Women's Novice Singles (club playdowns)
- Dates: Aug 11 (Tues), 13 (Thurs) & 20 (Thurs) evenings starting at 6pm
- additional dates may be added if necessary
- no entry fee
- Speak with Lindsay for full details to participate and to volunteer as a marker
- Women's Mix and Mingle Tournament (for Novice & Intermediate players only)
- Sat - Aug 15 (daytime)
- start time: 9:30am (no trial ends - 1 pt. max for each of the first two ends)
- Note: club's regular Sat am draw is cancelled.
- Limited to bowlers who started bowling 2024 or later
- Game format is triples with three 8 end games played (90 min time limit per game)
- Players please bring a lunch - coffee/tea and snacks provided for $5 fee

- Spectators welcome & BLBC member volunteers needed!
- Sign up sheet for green set up/take down and kitchen helpers posted on the club's volunteer bulletin board

- Andy Stewart Open Australian Pairs Tournament
- Mon - Wed Aug 17 - 19
- 2 draws per day - afternoon @ 3:30 and evening @6:30
- Note Tues Aug 18 skills dev/coaching session and Wed Aug 19 eve draw are both cancelled.
- Game format is Australian Pairs with one 16 end game played per day over 3 days (two trial ends)
