Welcome to the Burnside Lawn Bowling Club.
We are open for play and all regularly scheduled draws and coaching clinics are now underway.

Registration and Membership:
Information on membership dues for 2026 can be found in the Membership Page.
For current members, your membership dues must be paid before the end of May.
If you're are interested in joining us, please use the form on the Contact page of this website. We will get back to you with opportunities to visit Burnside LBC and try this wonderful sport.
Note: The first 3 visits to our club are free, and lessons are available for a $20 fee that will be applied to your membership dues should you join our club - come try Lawn Bowling!

2026 Bowls South Island Tournaments:

May Special Events:
- Burnside Cup - Date Change Alert!
- Normally on Victoria Day, this year's Burnside Cup will be played on Saturday May 23rd.
- Registration starts at 11:30 with play beginning at noon.
- Entry $5 pp plus 50/50 tickets will be sold.
- Teams will be constructed by random draw based on the number of registrants.
- Barry Skinner Memorial Tournament
- Mon - Wed May 25 - 27
- 2 draws per day - afternoon @ 3:30 and evening @6:30
- Note Tues May 26 skills dev/coaching session and Wed May 27 eve draw are both cancelled.
- Spectators welcome & volunteers needed!

Important Dates from Bowls South Island:
- April 30th & May 1st 9 am – 4 pm (Competition Coach Course $150)
- May 6th 1:00-4:00 at Oak Bay (marker course)
- May 9th 9:30-12:30 at Sidney (markers course)
- May 14th 9:30-12:00 at JDF (Umpires course - $50)
